Woven Scarf
I've just finished my first "masterpiece" LOL. I've been teaching myself to weave. I started out with the cardboard loom which I showed in this post. I've also been playing with a "stash buster" loom from Purl and Loop which can be found here.
I wanted to be able to make something a little larger than the mug mats so I've invested in this rigid heddle loom from Ashford Looms.
I just finished this scarf and even though it's my first attempt and there are some glaring boo-boos, I'm pretty proud of it.
I used Ice Magic Light yarn in brown/orange/camel/white. It was really easy to work with and I've got a couple of other color combos I'm going to use. The most difficult thing about weaving on this loom was warping but even that was relatively easy. Weaving this scarf was definitely faster than my usual crochet method. I really enjoyed learning this new skill.
I'd love to hear from you.....even just to say hi! Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you have a wonderful day!
