THINGS I LOVE ABOUT WINTER

SNOW…is just SO beautiful: it covers everything like a fluffy white blanket and makes for a picturesque panorama. Snow is also better than rain because you won’t get as soaked, and you can actually do activities in it, like skiing or throwing snowballs.

HOT CHOCOLATETurn it into an activity by setting up a hot cocoa bar with mini marshmallows, candy canes, chocolate shavings and your favorite candies for topping.  If hot chocolate's not your thing, there's also apple cider, mulled wine, and plenty of holiday-themed coffee drinks to satisfy your cravings and keep you warm.

COMFORT FOOD…Fondue or any other heavy wintery food is basically mandatory. You can enjoy a hot chocolate, put marshmallows in it, and top it off with whip cream because winter.

CUDDLING…Who doesn’t like cuddling? You get to spend those weekend mornings being closer to your loved one – be it a human, pet or laptop.

NO BUGSWasps, mosquitos and flies, be gone! You don’t wake up with five mosquito bites that itch like crazy. You don’t have to avoid certain foods for fear that it will attract wasps. And you especially don’t have to swap away flies flying by your ear as you sleep.

SHOP AT A WINTER MARKET…Plenty of cities and towns host pretty outdoor markets during the winter, where local artisans sell handmade goods and tasty specialty foods. These markets are the perfect places to buy Christmas or valentines day gifts!

TRY SOME NEW SOUP RECIPES…you might enjoy whipping up your own winter soups. From pumpkin to slow-cooker broccoli cheese, you’re guaranteed to feel warm and satisfied all season long.

SNAP FROSTY PHOTOS…
Winter can make the whole world seem as if it’s been covered in fairy dust, making it a gorgeous time to take pictures. In the morning, after a frost, head out with your phone or camera to capture frosted flowers and grasses.

MAKE SNOW ANGELS…
When was the last time you made a snow angel? Get out there with your kids and make them together!

BINGE WATCH A TV SERIES…How about getting in your comfy jammies, grabbing a cup of hot chocolate and spending chill time binge watching a fun TV series? This is an easy way to spend time together with the kids, as a couple or even solo.
HAVE A GAME NIGHT…Stay in for the evening, get cozy in your jammies and have a game night marathon. There are different games for all ages, but Bingo and Scrabble are favorites for almost friends and everyone in the family.

I have been ignoring my blog for a while now.  2023 has not been a good year for me.  Lot of health issues and different things.  I'm happy to say I'm on the mend and hopefully will be getting back into photography and making crafts.  I have missed it a lot.
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet.  I hope you come back often.
